Job Summary
The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for optimizing the overall revenue performance and profitability of the Sunset Marquis Hotel. This role will play a pivotal part in the hotel’s strategic repositioning and relaunch following the property’s upcoming renovation.
The Director will lead all aspects of pricing, distribution, forecasting, and business mix optimization to ensure Sunset Marquis maintains its leadership position in the West Hollywood luxury market. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical capability with strategic vision, commercial acumen, and collaboration across departments, supporting the hotel’s continued reputation as a premier destination for entertainment, leisure, and creative clientele.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include :
- Develop and execute an integrated revenue management strategy for all accommodations, including suites and villas, to maximize RevPAR, ADR, and profitability.
- Lead weekly revenue meetings, presenting analysis, insights, and recommendations for pricing, distribution, and business mix optimization.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Reservations to align strategies that drive direct bookings, capture premium segments, and maintain rate integrity.
- Support the strategic repositioning of the Sunset Marquis in preparation for the relaunch, ensuring all pricing and market strategies reflect the elevated product offering.
- Prepare accurate forecasts and budgets for occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR performance.
- Analyze market trends, competitive data, and booking pace to identify opportunities and risks.
- Track performance by segment (entertainment, leisure, corporate, and group) and recommend mix adjustments to achieve revenue goals.
- Evaluate promotional campaigns and packages to ensure profitability and brand alignment.
- Handle rate loading, parity, and content accuracy across all distribution channels, including direct, GDS, OTA, and consortia partners.
- Work with digital marketing to strengthen the hotel’s online visibility and conversion through the official website and metasearch platforms.
- Manage partnerships with third-party channels and evaluate cost of acquisition to ensure optimal channel performance.
- Partner with the Director of Sales & Marketing on market positioning, demand generation, and long-term strategy.
- Collaborate with the Reservations and Front Office teams to optimize inventory management and upselling initiatives.
- Mentor and train team members on revenue management principles, systems, and data interpretation.
- Observes and abides by all safety, sanitation, and security procedures.

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business, Finance, or related field required. Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in revenue management, preferably within luxury, lifestyle, or boutique hotels. Proven track record in leading revenue optimization during transitions or repositioning phases.Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications.Expertise in Opera PMS, IDeaS, Duetto, or comparable RMS platforms.Strong analytical, forecasting, and presentation skills.Strong analytical, forecasting, and presentation skills.In-depth understanding of the Los Angeles luxury hotel market preferred.Proficient in English - verbal and written.Physical Requirements include :

Compensation details : 150000-170000 Yearly Salary
