Brief Summary of Job Duties :
Performs general duties related to the maintenance and operations of the portable and recycled water irrigation systems, both manual and automatic, throughout the campus.

Job Functions and Percentages of Time :
50% Irrigation Systems Maintenance - Maintains existing irrigation systems, performing necessary installations, repairs and replacement of sprinkler heads, valves, piping, controllers, wiring, and related equipment. Consults construction drawings to verify existing installations or layout of new systems. Operates a variety of hand and power tools in wet conditions when repairing irrigation. Uses Dingo loader / excavator and multiple attachments. In emergency cases, uses backhoe to excavate for repairs when this is more efficient. May place concrete to install thrust blocks on large diameter irrigation piping.
40% System Monitoring - Monitors operation of irrigation systems, making necessary adjustments to sprinkler heads, valves and controllers to insure proper coverage and watering cycles.
10% Safety - Ensures that proper safety barricades, fencing, and signs are in place on the job site. Complies with FM's safety program.
