About The Position
Experienced Family Practice Physician needed for a locum tenens assignment in New Mexico. This 48-day opportunity, starting 06 / 30 / 2025, involves working at a rural health primary care clinic within a hospital setting. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, with flexibility on the days worked. Each shift includes 9 hours of patient-facing time and 1 hour of administrative work. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing a diverse patient population, with a focus on chronic conditions like diabetes, as well as providing general primary care services. This role offers the potential for extension and requires an active New Mexico license.

Responsibilities and Duties :
- Conduct physical exams, wellness visits, and annual check-ups
- Diagnose and treat acute conditions such as colds, coughs, and flu
- Manage chronic conditions, with a focus on diabetes and hypertension
- Administer vaccinations and provide preventive care
- Perform minor procedures, including foreign body removals
- Provide care for a predominantly geriatric population, with occasional younger patients
- Utilize Cerner EMR system for patient documentation
- Complete administrative tasks during designated time
