We are currently seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join our high-growth, fast-paced company. This position will report to the Controller and play a key role in onboarding and supporting acquired agencies with agency management system ("AMS") and accounting responsibilities. Desire to work at a growth-oriented business with a focus on acquisitions and integrations is highly valued. The chosen candidate will be a team player and will manage a team of staff accountants and assist with all elements of the insurance agency accounting function, including production report and accounting reconciliation, bank balances and reconciliations, receipt posting, carrier payables, accounts receivable, producer / broker payables and vendor payables.

Job Responsibilities :

• Manage a team of staff accountants and assist them in efficiently completing their day-to-day duties.
• Coordinate training and support staff including agency accounting, best practices and required reporting.
• Coordinate full accounting for agencies including all aspects of agency accounting not limited to accounts payable, payroll recording, cash receipts, accounts receivable, carrier payables, producer / broker payables, direct bill recording, month end reporting.
• Implement efficient accounting procedures and work with agency employees in executing month-end close in an increasingly complex environment.
• Optimize relationships with fellow managers, financial institutions, and outside accountants, other professional business partners, and agency principals and employees.
• Act as mentor to current accounting staff and assist Controller in developing a growing team.
• Assist in the creation of ad hoc financial analyses for agency partners.
