As an Accounting Analyst II, you will play a crucial role in supporting accounting functions within our organization. Your responsibilities will include compiling and interpreting financial information for management decision making; as well as, looking for ways to optimize business processes through technology and automation, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs. Responsibilities / Expectations

• Performs assigned month-end activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting and variance analysis
• Prepares, maintains and develops schedules, reports, and analyses for internal / external customers
• Provides requested documentation and clear explanations for both internal and external audit processes
• Participates as a project team member and a resource for colleagues with less experience
• Processes and analyzes significant amounts of data while identifying opportunities for process improvement with a focus on efficiency and automation
• Supports the regulated financial reporting function with the monthly close and the quarterly and year-end reporting processes
• Reviews contracts for Accounting Standards Codification 606 (ASC 606) implications
• Prepares and analyzes data for transportation and storage business which includes invoicing customers, recording revenue and handling related accounts receivables
• Provides support for rate case submission
• Other duties as assigned
