As a Principal Data Scientist, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced algorithms that analyze large-scale sensor and IoT data to model vehicle and human behavior. You will drive the development of innovative solutions from complex, high-dimensional datasets, translating exploratory insights into actionable, scalable products. This role combines research, algorithm development, and hands-on implementation, with opportunities to mentor junior data scientists and influence product strategy. You will collaborate across teams to ensure data-driven solutions enhance customer experiences, operational efficiency, and safety outcomes. Your work will have a measurable impact on both internal decision-making and the broader end-user environment.
Accountabilities :
- Develop cutting-edge algorithms to model physical phenomena from vehicle and human sensor data.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior data scientists through all phases of solution development, including data preprocessing, modeling, testing, deployment, and continuous monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data insights into actionable product features.
- Stay up to date with research and emerging trends in data science, evaluating their potential impact on products and operations.
- Present complex findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders across the organization.
- Contribute to prototype development and product improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related fields.7+ years of professional experience in data science.3+ years developing commercial software with algorithmic, AI / ML, or signal processing components.Strong expertise in machine learning / deep learning, statistics, signal processing, and sensor physics.Proficiency in programming and software development for large-scale systems, including Python, Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, SQL.Experience with Big Data platforms and scalable AI / ML frameworks (e.g., Spark, Ray, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch).Strong visualization and data literacy skills, capable of simplifying complex results for stakeholders.Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer-focused skills.Preferred : Master’s or Ph.D., prior experience in autonomous systems, automotive data, or IoT platforms.Benefits
