Role Overview : We are seeking a Customer Success Technical Specialist (CSTS) who will serve as a trusted technical advisor, working closely with our customers to ensure their success, retention, and expansion with our Confluent product suite. In this dual-focus role that combines technical prowess and customer engagement, you will offer technical guidance and best practices, while collaborating with Customer Solutions and cross-functional teams such as Sales, Product Management, and Engineering.
Key Responsibilities :
- Act as the technical voice of the customer within Confluent, advocating for their needs and coordinating efforts across various teams to ensure technical success.
- Identify and address customer technical objections, developing strategies to facilitate adoption.
- Proactively support customers through various technical lifecycle activities, including architecture planning, cluster security design, monitoring & automation, and upgrade assessments.
- Guide customers on advancing their data streaming maturity through recommendations on advanced topics like data mesh and stream processing.
- Document and share knowledge to enhance customers' understanding and capabilities, while assisting internal teams in serving customers better.
- Utilize your insights on customer environments to influence the roadmap of Confluent products.
- Collaboratively resolve customer issues alongside Technical Support Engineers and Core Engineering as needed.
Qualifications :
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric focus and the ability to manage critical situations effectively.Experience in a technical role within a product / SaaS company, particularly with enterprise customers.A passion for solving complex technical challenges, particularly in modern infrastructures and streaming technologies.Familiarity with key cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and sound knowledge of network and security technologies.Ability to learn new technologies rapidly and a strong desire to do so.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with Apache Flink and distributed systems involving Apache Kafka and related technologies.Proficiency in coding and analysis across multiple languages such as Java, Python, and Go.Experience optimizing and troubleshooting Java Virtual Machines (JVM) and configuring Linux systems.Become part of our dynamic team!
