Warehouse Associate

  • Job Summary / Objective : In the Warehouse Associate role you will be responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient handling of material in the warehouse. In this role you will operate various types of material handling equipment in a warehouse where the temperatures range from -10°ree; to 70°ree;F.

    Essential Functions : (may include one or more of these job duties)

  • Pick, wrap, stage and load outbound customer sales orders and warehouse to warehouse transfers.
  • Support production by picking ingredients and packaging materials and placing them in the required staging locations.
  • Receive inbound Purchase Orders and Warehouse Inventory transfers by using handheld RF guns to enter data into the Company computer system (JD Edwards).
  • Maintain accurate on hand inventory by performing various inventory control functions.
  • Obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certificate to operate a non-CDL commercial vehicle.
  • Support the Company’s food safety standards by maintaining good housekeeping in the Warehouse and by always following the GMP guidelines.
  • Maintain good communication and act with a sense of urgency when supporting other departments within the Company.
  • Make safety your top priority by following all safety rules and procedures.

  • Work Environment :

  • Work on the warehouse floor with exposure to machinery noise and varying temperatures, including freezer environments (-10°ree;F) to dry warehouse environments (70°ree;F)
  • Physical Demands :

  • Prolonged standing and walking on concrete floors
  • Prolonged standing and driving warehouse material handling equipment.
  • Frequent bending, lifting, and twisting
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Varying shifts, with potential for overtime and weekend work based on production needs
  • 9 : 00am - 5 : 30pm - flexibility with schedule is required
  • Travel :

  • No travel required, with potential travel between warehouses within the region
  • Required Education & Experience :

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • DOT Medical Certificate to operate a non-CDL commercial vehicle
  • Preferred Education & Experience :

  • 1-2 years of warehouse experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in food manufacturing
  • Training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), basic allergen handling, food defense, and HACCP
  • Experience operating material handling equipment, including stand-up reach trucks and ride-on pallet jacks
  • Compensation :

    The typical starting salary range for this position is $15.00-$23.84 / hour. Several factors, including skills, experience, education, certifications, and the location of the job will determine the actual pay offered. The salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for associates in these positions.

    This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and / or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
