  • Location : Waterloo, IA 50703 (Iowa healthcare jobs)\n
  • Unit : 3 Medical - General, Telemetry Tech Monitoring Unit (25 beds)\n
  • Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Registered Nurse\n
  • Start Date : December 10, 2025\n
  • End Date : March 11, 2026\n
  • Contract Duration : 13 weeks\n
  • Shift : Nights, 4x12 hour shifts / week (48 hours / week)\n
  • Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend, holiday rotation required\n
  • EMR System : EPIC\n
  • Floating : May float to other med / surg units, post-op, behavioral health, ED, or ICU\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1880-$2020\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Iowa RN license (Iowa nursing jobs)\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med / Surg and Telemetry\n
  • Completed a travel nursing assignment within the past 12 months (no first-time travelers)\n
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA)\n
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR\n
  • Strong post-op surgical experience preferred (EGD, colonoscopy, cardiac cath, pacemaker, minor surgery)\n
  • Experience with titrating and managing drips : heparin, insulin, diuretic infusions, amiodarone, diltiazem, 3% saline\n
  • Ability to confidently read EKG / ECG and perform all telemetry-related duties\n
  • Must pass a Basic Dysrhythmia Assessment (80% or higher)\n
  • Annual completion of cardiac dysrhythmia education modules\n
  • Submission of recent work history, skills checklist, license verification, and references\n

    • \n\nRN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Provide exceptional, patient-centered care on a busy med / surg telemetry unit\n
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; administer and titrate IV drips as ordered\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans\n
  • Float to other hospital units as needed, including post-op, behavioral health, ED, and ICU\n
  • Accurately document care and assessments using EPIC EMR\n
  • Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as scheduled\n
  • Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards\n
