THE POSITION

This role focuses on supplier engineering and quality management to improve delivery and product quality, aligning supplier performance with internal factories and customers.

Role highlights include ownership of the Supplier Caused Customer Escapes (SCCE) Reduction Program and the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) Program, driving supplier quality initiatives and effective corrective actions to minimize disruptions in manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supplier Assessment and Development : Conduct comprehensive assessments of suppliers to evaluate their quality management systems and capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement quality improvement plans for underperforming suppliers. Develop and execute supplier training programs to enhance their quality processes.
• Quality Planning and Strategy : Establish and maintain quality standards and performance metrics for supplier quality compliance. Lead the implementation of quality initiatives that minimize customer escapes. Analyze supplier quality data and trends to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving : Oversee the investigation of supplier-related quality issues, conduct root cause analysis to identify systemic problems. Implement corrective and preventive actions with suppliers. Apply best practices to reduce corrective action implementation time.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement : Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and operations to align on quality expectations and supplier performance. Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the supplier quality organization. Lead quality reviews with insights for optimizing supplier performance and reducing escapes.
• Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate documentation related to supplier quality evaluations, decisions, and performance metrics. Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement actions.

Other Key Focus : Ownership of SCCE Reduction Program and SCAR Program to improve supplier quality and minimize manufacturing disruptions, leveraging expertise in quality management to drive supplier performance improvements.
