Job description

Piper Companies is seeking a Telephony Network Engineer to join a leading telecommunications company with a focus on maintaining and modernizing telephony systems, including the migration from legacy TDM platforms to VoIP / SIP-based solutions. The position requires an active Top Secret clearance and will be onsite 5 days per week.

Responsibilities for Telephony Network Engineer :

Manage and support telephony systems across both legacy TDM and modern VoIP / SIP environments.
Drive migration efforts from traditional TDM infrastructure to IP-based telephony platforms.
Engage in hands-on lab work and deployment activities to ensure operational readiness.
Partner with engineering teams to deliver seamless system integration and performance optimization.

Qualifications for Telephony Network Engineer :

5+ years of experience as a Network or Telephony Engineer supporting enterprise-level voice systems.

Must be a U.S. citizen and hold an active Top Secret clearance.

Strong knowledge of TDM telephony and VoIP / SIP protocols.

Practical experience with telephony migrations, troubleshooting, and system upgrades.

Compliance with DoD 8140 requirements and possession of CompTIA Security+ certification.

Compensation / Benefits for Telephony Network Engineer :

Salary Range : $95,000 - $115,000 annually

Comprehensive Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave (as required by law), and Holidays.
