SeniorPrincipal Platform Engineer

Overview

We’re looking for a seasoned Senior or Principal Platform Engineer to help build and scale the backbone of our platform. This role is a hybrid between API development and DevOps engineering , with a focus on enabling seamless customer deployment experiences. You’ll own critical systems that power provisioning, deployments, and “bring your own cloud” (BYOC) integrations across AWS and Azure environments.

This is an onsite position in either Boston or San Francisco —you’ll work closely with engineering and product teams to drive architecture decisions and deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build platform APIs that power automated deployments, provisioning, and integrations.
• Develop BYOC workflows that support hybrid cloud environments (AWS + Azure).
• Build and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Helm for Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Architect and support agent-based installation systems , enabling simple “click-to-install” deployment experiences.
• Drive automation and reliability across provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure platform scalability and usability.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to long-term platform strategy at a senior or principal level.

Compensation : $190,000-$250,000 per year
