EDM Sinker Operator

Steel Tool & Engineering, located in Michigan, is seeking a full-time EDM Sinker Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position offers a competitive pay along with an excellent benefits package , including :

WHAT YOUR DAY IS LIKE

As an EDM Sinker Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating EDM sinker machines to manufacture high-precision parts according to engineering specifications. Each day, you will interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD / CAM files to determine machining requirements and select the appropriate electrodes, tooling, and machine parameters for each job. You will monitor machining processes and make adjustments to ensure accuracy, performance, and part quality. Your responsibilities will also include performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on EDM equipment, conducting inspections with precision measuring tools to verify accuracy, and documenting process parameters, production data, and quality results. Collaboration with engineering and quality teams will be part of your work, as well as adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work area. The schedule is from 6 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.
