Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Manufacturing Engineer II-III based at ourmanufacturing facility located in Berea, Kentucky .

What you will do :

  • Lead and identify continuous improvement activities in manufacturing processes, including automation, robotics, and digital systems.
  • Provide day-to-day support to resolve manufacturing issues and drive improvements across multiple value streams.
  • Evaluate and optimize new and existing manufacturing processes to ensure they meet production, safety, and cost standards.
  • Lead teams in continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, and 6? methodologies.
  • Develop specifications for equipment, tooling, materials, and processes to ensure the safe and efficient production of products.
  • Support the introduction of new products and innovative manufacturing strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain accurate process documentation, engineering change notices, and quality records to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Drive projects focused on capital improvements, automation, and process optimization to enhance operational performance.

  • What you will need : Level II :

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or an Associate's degree with 5-7 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Level III :

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or an Associate's degree with 7-10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
  • Skills, Experience & Abilities

  • Leadership : Ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.
  • Continuous Improvement : In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and experience in leading CI projects.
  • Project Management : Experience in managing multiple projects and ensuring timely execution of process improvements.
  • Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Expertise : Proficiency in key manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, assembly techniques, automation, PLC, and computer applications.
