RN - Critical Care Peds Float Pool

Job Details : \n

  • Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week

    • \n

  • Required to work every other weekend with holiday rotation

    • \n

  • Patient ratios of 1 : 2 or 1 : 3

    • \n

  • Float to all pediatric units in SJCH including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU

    • \n

  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric ICU experience required

    • \n

  • First-time travelers accepted if they have the required experience

    • \n

  • South Carolina or Multi-State / Compact State RN License required

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)

    • \n

  • Preferred experience with ECMO and CRRT

    • \n

  • Skills include anti-seizure medications, chest tube maintenance, BiPAP / CPAP, ventilated patient care, central line care, continuous sedation, ICP monitoring, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, pediatric dosage calculations, and PICC line management

    • \n

  • Block schedules may be accommodated with manager approval based on unit needs

    • \n

  • Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

    • \n

  • Must be available for emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)

    • \n

  • Completion of non-billable modules averaging 4 hours required pre-start

    This pediatric specialty hospital provides comprehensive critical care services for children across multiple intensive care units. The facility features advanced pediatric cardiac, neonatal, and general pediatric intensive care capabilities with state-of-the-art equipment and specialized procedures. The hospital offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various therapeutic services to ensure optimal patient outcomes in pediatric critical care.
