Job Description

Job Title : Psych LVN at Mission Community Hospital

Job Summary :

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psych LVN to join our team at Mission Community Hospital in Panorama City, California. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. As a Psych LVN, your primary responsibility will be to provide nursing care to patients with mental health conditions under the direction of a registered nurse or physician.

Responsibilities :

Conduct intake screenings and assessments to identify patient needs

Administer medication and monitor patient response

Create and maintain patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes

Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans

Provide education and support to patients and their families

Implement and follow all hospital policies and procedures

Use therapeutic communication techniques to effectively interact with patients

Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation of potentially violent situations

Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients

Requirements :

Current and valid LVN license in the state of California

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an LVN in a psychiatric setting

BLS certification

Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities

Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients of diverse backgrounds

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
