Installation Engineer

Location : Auburn Hills, Michigan, United States

Employment Type : Full Time | Contract | On Site

Pay Rate : $35-$40 per hour

Travel : ~80%

Overview :

Reliance One is hiring an Installation Engineer to support the installation and servicing of industrial robots and robotic systems, primarily for paint and sealer applications. This role is critical in providing technical assistance to customers, ensuring proper setup, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of robotic equipment and peripheral devices.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a service-first mindset and experience working with robotic systems, particularly in paint or sealer environments.

Key Responsibilities :

• Install, start up, and debug robotic systems, primarily for paint and sealer applications, through customer buyoff and acceptance.
• Provide professional, timely, and courteous technical support to customers.
• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and retrofit robotic products and equipment.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation and service reports.
• Coordinate activities, schedules, and parts requirements with supervisors or project managers.
• Supervise and train Associate Service and Installation Engineers as needed.
• Follow engineering and safety standards in compliance with product specifications and regulations.
• Procure tools, supplies, and installation equipment.
• Travel to customer sites as required (~80%).
• Assist with testing and validation of new robotic products.
• Support lab activities and process improvement initiatives.
• Participate in component rebuilds, refurbishments, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
