Job description

Claims Supervisor

Integra is seeking a results-oriented, dynamic, proven Claims professional, capable of managing a leading team in the healthcare industry. The individual must be skilled in process improvement, decision making, managing processes, staffing, and training, with an attitude that exemplifies high energy and a passion for the healthcare business. To succeed, the individual will need to be effective driving results through and with teams with a heavy focus on metrics.

Salary : $65,000.00 / annual

Job Qualifications : Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

The Claims Supervisor's responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Leading a team consisting of 15+ claims representatives
  • Responsible for real time management of department tasks
  • Manage agent schedules including shifts, PTO / OT adherence, amongst other day to day time and attendance activities
  • Supervise personnel in reviewing, giving direction, coaching, minor discipline, communication and feedback
  • Perform quality control over day-to-day team and individual tasks
  • Adjustments are properly recommended and / or applied in billing system
  • Oversee training responsibilities such as schedules, curriculum, and assessment
  • Assist with performance reviews
  • Ownership of operating metrics tied to claims inventory, accounts receivable and days sales outstanding
  • Denials are worked at a high level of quality within required time limits
  • Contribute to the overall leadership of the claims team
  • Focus on exceeding company goals and objectives with the ability to live the Integra values

You will learn the function of the Claims Department within the organization and be fully integrated in your position, the company, and team

You will have a full and complete understanding of our metric requirements and reporting capabilities

You will understand your role and responsibilities to foster excellence in your team performance

You will develop team goals and monitor progress, as you build relationships with your team to encourage and understand their needs and abilities

During this time, you will set measurable goals for personal development and growth

What Will You Achieve In The First 12 Months?

You will create a people first approach to your team, easily identifying the strengths and weakness of each team member and how to best support them

You will personalize your feedback framework to give constructive and supportive feedback within a supervisory context

You will be contributing your skills and knowledge to meet your department's metrics and goals

You will have regular monthly one-on-one meetings with managers for mutual feedback and establish strategies for development

Education

Bachelor's degree desired or equivalent experience

Experience

5+ Years of relevant experience in a fast paced, healthcare environment

2+ Years of leading teams of 5+ people to outstanding results

2+ Years Claims and AR Resolution Experience

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

Pro-active, results oriented, adaptable individual striving for everyday excellence

Able to manage multiple, complex projects

Strong analytical and reasoning skills

Curious, adaptive, focused, able to change and grow

Leader comfortable hiring and developing high performing teams
