Description

Responsible with assisting the Finance and Accounting Department with various reports and analysis, especially with SEC reporting and sales incentive related reports. Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing data reports, and lead the analysis of financial performance. Responsibilities may expand beyond those initially required.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Support preparation of SEC reports and presentations.
  • Leverage strong banking knowledge to perform financial forecasting, reporting, and track operational metrics.
  • Responsible for monthly sales actuals against objectives for business lines.
  • Responsible for incentive tracking, reporting, and forecast.
  • Responsible for ad-hoc reporting.
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  • Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Support budget preparation, budget variances, and budget presentations.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
  • Increase productivity by developing automated reporting / forecasting tools.
  • Perform market research, data mining, and business intelligence.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

  • Know your Customer (KYC)
  • Deposit related regulations (i.e. Reg. DD- Truth in Savings, Reg. E-Electronic Funds Transfer Act, etc.), as applicable
  • Lending related regulations (i.e. Reg. B- Fair Lending, Reg. C-HMDA, Reg. Z- Truth Lin Lending Act, etc.), as applicable
  • Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)
  • Privacy
  • Unfair, Deceptive, Abusive, Acts or Practices (UDAAP)
  • USCB Policies and Procedures : All officers and employees of the bank are to maintain an understanding of all USCB Policies and Procedures as outlined in the bank's shared drive. All employees are to follow said policies and procedures and report any knowledge of a variance of the same.

    Qualifications and Requirements : To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and a solid understanding of financial analysis terminology and best practices. Detail-Oriented and an ability to shift through large data sets to extract meaningful information. Excellent Excel skills and Microsoft applications. Knowledge of sumproduct, vlookup, pivot tables, and graph functions

    Language Skills : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business, banking, documents. Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community. Ability to write reports and business correspondence conform to prescribed style and format, relate well with others, and quickly create a working rapport. Have the ability to present information to management, employees, and customers.

    Education and / or Experience : Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; five to seven years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Banking and SEC reporting experience preferred.
