Schedule Requirement: Weekends only (6a-10p)

Orientation: Able to do 3 weeks of 8a-5p Mon-Fri orientation

Pay: Local $1,328/wk & Traveler $1,430/wk

About the Role

As an LVN, you will provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who may be medically fragile or have behavioral health needs.

This position offers the opportunity to deliver both basic and advanced nursing care under limited RN supervision, while also serving as a mentor and leader to fellow nursing and direct care staff.
Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments (oral, injection, internal, rectal)
• Monitor and assess patient health status and vital signs
• Perform skilled nursing procedures including:
  
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Wound care
  • G-tube/J-tube care
  • Respiratory treatments
• Collect laboratory specimens and conduct health screenings
• Accurately document care and changes in electronic health records
• Train and guide newly hired LVNs and direct care staff
• Evaluate patient outcomes and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team

Qualifications

• Active LVN license in the State of Texas
• Experience in long-term care, IDD, or behavioral health preferred
• Strong clinical skills and confidence performing technical procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to care
• Complete immunizations and/or titers (MMR, Varicella, HepB, TDAP)
• Current TB Skin Test
• AHA BLS (CPR)
