Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery and equipment
  • Work with low, medium, and high-pressure steam systems
  • Rebuild and replace motors, pumps, and related components
  • Maintain and service compressed air and vacuum pump systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Conduct inspections and document findings accurately
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment performance
  • Participate in equipment installation, modification, and upgrade projects
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and GMP requirements
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and respond to emergency breakdowns as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as a mechanic / machinist in manufacturing (pharmaceutical or biotech preferred)
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Able to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Flexibility to work extended or off-hours when needed

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable standing, walking, and working in various positions for long periods
  • Must be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, and machinery
