Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Wound Care LPN / LVN , internally referred to as our Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), to join our Wound Care team. As an LPN / LVN in wound care, you should be empathetic and have good communication skills. Shift’s Available : Days

Employment Type : Per Diem (PRN)

Hours : 8-hour shift

Location : St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs, MO

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to) :

  • technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care
  • meet the communication needs of the patient and family
  • performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • this is a clinic environment with a need of one to three shifts / week
  • supports both inpatient and outpatient care
  • if you have some or all of the following wound care experience, let's connect : wound vacs, negative pressure wound therapy, ostomy care, etc.

    • Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

    Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have :

  • current and valid Missouri state LPN license
  • current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current

    • Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus

  • one year experience in an Acute Care hospital or clinic setting
  • previous wound care experience
