Position Summary
We are seeking an Additive Manufacturing Specialist to join our engineering team. In this role, you will manage and operate our in-house 3D printing capabilities, supporting both R&D and production needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and eager to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a fleet of FDM and SLA 3D printers
- Perform post-processing tasks (support removal, sanding, finishing, curing)
- Conduct CAD slicing, file preparation, and printer scheduling
- Maintain and track material inventory (resins, filaments, consumables)
- Troubleshoot and resolve common printer and equipment issues
- Document builds, part quality, and turnaround times for continuous improvement
Qualifications
Minimum of an AS, preferably in a technical disciplinePractical experience with additive manufacturing (FDM / SLA) requiredStrong CAD skills and familiarity with slicing softwareDetail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational skillsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipmentU.S. Citizenship required (due to U.S. Government ITAR regulations)Mainstream Engineering Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
