School Nurse

Certification / Endorsement Requirements

• Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and hold a license as a registered professional nurse in Illinois.
• Must have completed an Illinois program approved for the preparation of school nurses or comparable approved program in another state or country or hold a comparable certificate or license issued by another state or country.
• Experience working in a Health Center setting or school setting preferred
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy with regard to sensitive topics / issues.
• Understanding and willingness to work with K-12 age students
• Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing
• Perform all other duties or tasks within scope of practice, as assigned.
• Full Time 9 Month Position
• Salary commesurate with experience.
