Andgar Food Processing Equipment has an immediate opening for a Fabrication Welder in Ferndale, WA . This division works with a variety of metal products for food processing equipment manufacturing. Most of the work is on food-grade stainless steel and aluminum products.

As part of the interview process, qualified candidates may be invited to take an in-person welding test to demonstrate their welding skills.

Essential Job Functions :
Safely operate associated hand and power tools such as saws, grinders, measuring tools, etc.Service, repair, and clean shop equipment and tools. Perform related duties and responsibilities as requiredOperate a variety of welding and fabricating equipment in a safe and effective mannerWeld and Fabricate new products in accordance with engineering drawingsAssists in the operation shop machinery and equipment. Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirementsObserves machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctionMeasures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operationRemoves defective product from workpiecePerforms minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies or workpiecesContinual process improvement and cost reduction on existing & new productsOccasionally performs work on customer site including assistance with project installationAdheres to assigned work schedule and arrives prepared each day (attendance and punctuality)Additional duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Able to work overtime as workload dictatesGood communication skills, both written and verbalMechanical aptitude with proficient shop math skillsKnowledge of OSHA rules, codes and regulations; and occupational hazards and standard safety practices.Must be able to pass a TIG welding and grinding test that matches or exceeds the standard quality of Andgar projects.Ability to read and build from architectural blueprints, shop drawings and cut listsMust be organized, detail oriented, reliable and professionalMust be willing to perform a variety of tasks including sanding, finishing, cleaning parts, careful assembly of parts, onsite installations, receiving materials, and shop maintenanceMust be able to take initiative and work within deadlines, without sacrificing safety, accuracy or appearance.Ability to read work orders, blueprints, instructions, formulas, and processing charts to ensure precise and accurate welding in agreement with the customer’s design specificationsAbility to follow instructions with appropriate level of self-directionAbility to interact with coworkers, contractors, vendors and management on a positive levelResponsive to inter-company personnelEducation & Experience :
High School Diploma or GEDCPR & First Aid, Aerial Work Platform, Forklift, Rigging & Signaling Training within 12 months of hireCompletion of Welding program with accredited technical school or collegeCurrent Driver’s License and acceptable driving recordPost expires on 10 / 31 / 25
