About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Certifications : BLS Required, ACLS Preferred, NIHSS Preferred

Must-Have : EPIC experience, Cardiac Monitoring, and Emergency response skills

Description :

MUST HAVE NY LICENSE IN HAND - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Specialty : MSDU RN.

Shift : 3x12 Nights.

Weekend : Every other weekend.

First-time traveler accepted.

Locals must reside within a 75-mile radius.

Need to be able to take a 1 : 5 to 1 : 7 patient ratio for MedSurg.

Charting : Must have EPIC experience.

Skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.

Experience in using Rapid Response and Code teams is required.

Proficient in IV therapy and phlebotomy.

Experience with peripheral line care and management is necessary.

Must support respiratory management, including nasal cannula and portable oxygen tanks.

Knowledge of isolation precautions is essential.

The unit is a critical care step-down unit dedicated to providing exceptional, evidence-based care.

Patient population consists of adult, acute care patients requiring specialized care.

All patients receive continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring.

Care includes airway management, acute BIPAP support, and managed IV infusions.

Daily census averages around 17 patients.

Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Candidates may float between units as required.
