Electrical Project Management and Estimation Specialist

Duties & Responsibilities:
Estimating Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed estimates for commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to create precise bids.
- Conduct take-offs and maintain comprehensive estimating documentation, including supplier pricing and historical cost records.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions effectively.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure a seamless transition from the estimation phase to project execution.
- Interface with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
Project Management Responsibilities:
- Oversee electrical projects from pre-construction planning through to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate efforts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to guarantee successful project execution.
- Monitor job progress and provide strong leadership to field personnel.
- Manage all project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
- Conduct project meetings and deliver regular updates to stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve project challenges to optimize efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in project management with an electrical contractor.
- Proven track record managing commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or Conest.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and project scheduling.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Stable work history.
