The Cardiothoracic Surgery locum tenens opportunity in Michigan :

• Start date : August 3, 2018
• Duration : on-going (minimum 3 month commitment)
• Schedule : 1 weekend of 24 hour call per month, occasional weekday call to cover vacations; dates TBD
• 24 hour coverage; call consults, daily rounds, and urgent surgeries
• EMR : Cerner
• Call can be taken from home / hotel (home if local), but may need to come back to hospital as needed
• Callback : 25%
• Phone consult : 25%
• Average of 15-20 patients per day in hospital
• 2 MD s, 4 PA s
• 50% adult, 50% geriatric
• Average number of hospital / call patients for locum provider per day : 2-4 admissions, 1-3 ED
• Required procedures : aneurysm repair, thoracic, abdominal, arterial bypass, peripheral, vascular access, abdominal aortic aneurysms, thoracic aortic aneurysms, thoracoabdominal aneurysms, carotid artery stenting, bypass surgery, femoral popliteal bypass, aortofemoral bypass, peripheral artery disease

Requirements : Board Certified Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery, Michigan license, ATLS, Level I Trauma experience
