This role works directly with the Director of Operations and Quality to oversee daily operations, ensure the safety of the employees and operation, manage training and coaching of employees, assist with audits, and work closely with other team members to meet company goals
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Production Efficiency : Lead multiple line teams to meet OEE goals.
- Change Management : Implement and recommend changes in methods and systems to achieve operational goals using a Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Scheduling Management : Support both strategic and tactical efforts to achieve the customers' needs.
- Coaching and Development : Develop the teams functional and leadership skills while driving accountability in safety, quality, and team engagement.
- Quality Coordination : Manage the in-process quality system and quality controls.
- Production Coordination : Manage materials, staffing, and resources to support line operations and changeovers.
- Standards Creation and Implementation : Ensure standards are effective, controlled, communicated, and adhered to through coaching and accountability.
- Food Safety : Drive focus and improvement on food safety, ensuring the ongoing production of safe, high-quality food adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Safety : Drive focus and improvement on personnel and environmental safety.
- Performance Management : Set performance goals, measure progress, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaboration : Work between departments to troubleshoot and make process improvements.
- Communication : Ensure open communication and foster a positive, engaged environment.
- Recruitment and Onboarding : Participate in recruiting, selection, and onboarding of associates.
- Continuous Improvement - Implementing lean manufacturing concepts, project management, timelines, deadlines and follow-through on finished projects.
- Other duties as needed to best support the organization.
Experience :
2 -4-year College Degree or combination of higher learning and related professional and Continuous Improvement experience requiredDemonstrated leadership experience with direct reports, including coaching for performance, scheduling, managing attendance, administering discipline, as necessary.Strong understanding of GMPs and plant operations.PCQI and HACCP training a plus.Strong background in quality systems.Intermediate to advanced computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft programs, Redzone, and Sagex3.Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors, and / or customers and effectively handle conflict situationsPREFERRED :
