About the Role
A Deli / Bakery Director oversees all operations within the Deli and Bakery departments across multiple stores. This role is responsible for managing procurement, merchandising, and product presentation, ensuring quality, efficiency, and profitability.
The Director will supervise and support store management to meet departmental goals while developing strategies that align with company standards and customer expectations, driving sales and enhancing customer experience. This position requires ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members at all times.
Essential Functions
Develop and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost-effective procurement.
Develop and implement merchandising strategies that increase sales, align with customer preferences, and differentiate deli / bakery offerings in the market.
Lead, mentor, and develop deli and bakery management, as well as store management, providing them with the necessary resources, training, and support.
Develop annual budgets for the deli and bakery departments and implement cost control measures.
Ensure that all deli and bakery products meet high standards of quality and freshness.
