Veterinary Assistant – Emergency Critical Care   Full-time : 3 day, 12 hour shifts  2426 Ceegee St, San Antonio, TX 78217 Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists San Antonio is looking for an Emergency Veterinary Assistant to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. About You As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to surgery assistance, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.   Experience & Skills Requirements :

• Has 2+ years experience.
• Has exceptional technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and radiographic positioning, drug calculations, administer medications and fluids
• Ability to handle, lift, and restrain animals (dogs, cats, pocket pets, etc) and stand for long periods of time
• Knowledge of basic veterinary practices, procedures, and terminology
• Has organizational and computer skills
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is willing to work weekends, overnights, and holidays
