Job Duties

Organizational Objective : To provide services which ensure a fair, equitable and quality working and learning environment for all employees and members of the university community; to proactively and creatively provide all customers with superior, innovation, and cost-effective programs and services; to continuously seek and supply all customers with the opportunities and resources needed to enhance their knowledge, skills and abilities so they may better support the mission of the university.

Purpose of Position : To establish and manage a portfolio of non-degree education and training programs, including community and professional education and pathways programs for NSU and the Joint School of Public Health at ODU and NSU.

  • Establishment of standards, policies and procedures

  • Management of stakeholders
  • Development and implementation of communication strategies and plans
  • Network building and support

Minimum Qualifications

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong skills in leadership, team building, and collaboration
  • Superior analytical and reporting skills
  • Initiate and execute plans in a high-paced environment
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of relevant best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively develop and execute strategic plans
  • Ability to manage and build human and financial resources
  • Mastery of program / project management tools and techniques
  • A master's degree in education, business, healthcare administration or related field
  • At least five (5) years of related experience
  • At least three (3) years of project management experience
  • Demonstrated success building workforce development or training programs
  • Additional Considerations

  • A degree in public health or related field
  • Experience in higher education
  • Experience with instructional design
  • Experience with learning management systems or digital learning platforms
