Heritage Auctions is seeking a Data Analyst to help business leaders leverage existing capabilities in business operations and reporting. This role will execute departmental processes for gathering or cleaning data and answer ad-hoc requests for queries. The ideal candidate will have previous exposure to both technical challenges and process execution
SUMMARY : Responsible for operating and maintaining high-quality business system solutions to support information-gathering efforts in reporting and business development. Will develop expertise to answer requests for support from business leaders.
LOCATION : South of Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport, NW corner of W. Airport Freeway (Hwy. 183) and Valley View Lane

COMPENSATION : Commensurate based on experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Executes department processes to provide reporting, data, or recommendations for internal clientsMonitors the execution of pre-developed scripts or procedures and QA the output for successful execution or for follow-upConfigure or fine-tune procedures to fix process gaps and adapt. May need to review process outcomes in conjunction with clients to find a resolutionMaintains current solutions' adaptation to existing applications and delivers small-scale enhancements to improve performanceCreates formal knowledge transfer materials for other team members, as neededEscalate process gaps or findings for resolution with other experts on the team. May recommend changes to departmental processes to better meet objectives such as speed, accuracy, valueContributes to organization success by responding to ad-hoc requests for root cause analysis of service incidents, business observation deep dives, or other required uses of a data expertStrong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical skills and attention to detailOther duties may be assigned.Requirements :
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
Preferred : a customer or member of the collectible community, who may better understand industry standards and expectations of internal and external clientsBachelor's degree in quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or other) preferredExperience developing or operating reporting solutions using SQL data warehouses that are reliable and perform at high levelsPreference for experience with other analytical tools such as Power BI, else other tools like Excel Power Query, Python, R, notebooksProficiency in Microsoft applications, primarily Teams, Outlook, Excel, WordSeeking 3-5 years of experience of writing queries or developing solutions with SQL or relational databasesHeritage Auctions welcomes and encourages applications from women, minorities, veterans, mature workers, and persons with disabilities.
