Radiology Technologist Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist

Certified Radiology Technologist (ARRT) – must obtain ARRT certification within 24 months if not already certified

Strong communication, organizational, and preceptor skills

Ability to work on-site in a clinical healthcare environment

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

Perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic exams using proper patient positioning and exposure techniques

Operate and maintain radiology equipment across multiple modalities (Vascular, MRI, CT, Dexa, Diagnostic)

Set up and adjust immobilization and radiation protective devices for patient safety

Review and analyze patient body size, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology for accurate imaging

Assist physicians with radiology procedures as needed

Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs

Maintain accurate healthcare records and documentation

Participate in Quality Assurance / Quality Control procedures

Support educational training of radiology students and clinical staff
