Customer Service Agent (Tampa-Airport Ticket Office)
The Customer Service Agent (Tampa-Airport Ticket Office) reports to the Station Manager-Tampa and will be responsible for attending passenger check-ins, boarding and meeting of flights and associated processes, operating in a fast-paced environment.
Summary of Key Responsibilities :
- Provide excellent customer service to our customers and internal team members
- Responsible for assisting customers with travel needs such as answering inquiries, ticketing, checking-in passengers, and boarding flights in a fast-paced environment
- Perform boarding and gate duties, such as checking flight tickets, assisting and directing passengers and making announcements
- Occasionally responsible for escorting and assisting unaccompanied minors and passengers with disabilities throughout the airport on departure and arrival
- Timely advise vendors of flight schedule changes and irregularities
- Provide customer service to contract carriers
- Finalize documents connected with assignments and procedures
- Maintain flight files in accordance with company and government regulations
- Adhere to prescribed safety and security procedures
- Must be well groomed in appearance and adhere to uniform appearance standards
Qualifications, Skills & Experience :
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with passes in Math, Geography, and EnglishAbility to undergo three (3) weeks of intense job training if deemed necessaryProficient with Microsoft Office Programs, specifically Excel and WordAbility to work independently and under pressure at times while maintaining accuracyExcellent oral and written communication skillsExtensive customer service experiencePostholder must be able to lift suitcases and types of baggage up to 70 lbs.Previous airline / travel agency experience with a thorough understanding of basic fares, ticketing and airline computer systems (Sabre) as well as World GeographyPromote strong Customer Care CultureDesirable :
Ability to speak a foreign language (preferably Spanish)Working knowledge of IATA ProceduresFlexibility and willingness to work on weekends, evenings, and public holidays on a roster basis as well as irregular hours on short noticeCayman Airways offers an excellent compensation package.
