Responsibilities
- Utilize knowledge of owner requirements, construction documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders to ensure construction conformance in the assigned area.
- Coordinate change orders, expedite material, prepare project estimates, maintain project cost control, initiate close-out activities, and similar functions.
- Assist the engineer in interpreting plans and specifications; resolve non-conformance issues as they arise.
- Provide technical engineering information to company supervision, subcontractors, and crafts to ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards.
- Interpret design / drawings for subcontractors and crafts installing material and equipment; study and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interference, and errors.
- Perform assignments designed to develop professional engineering knowledge, applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Perform special studies or analyses of project portions, including research, investigation, or coordination.
- Act as the first line of quality check in assigned discipline(s) and work area.
- Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies, and follow through with related steps or processes.
- Provide necessary site drawings and sketches to support as-built construction work, change orders, estimates, etc.
- Provide site drawings, elevations, and other documentation for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials.
- Ensure safe working conditions within the assigned area through adherence to corporate safety procedures and practices.
- Understand, execute, and enforce corporate quality standards within the assigned area to meet project and company commitments.
- May provide technical support for project material control functions, including maintenance program implementation and operation.
- May provide technical guidance for procurement, design, scheduling, costs, and quality related to the project.
- Manage or assist with close-out activities and documentation, including status reports and punch lists.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; minimum 1 year construction experience.Exposure to procurement, contract administration, design, schedule, cost budgets, and quality is helpful.Seniority level
