Your Day Purchasing Clerk responsibilities may include the following: - Preparing purchasing orders for products, materials, and supplies.
- Making sure all purchase orders are approved by the appropriate departments
- Scheduling incoming and outgoing shipments, making sure they arrive on time.
- Coordinating with vendors concerning contracts and product availability.
- Filing and maintaining purchase order records.
- Managing product inventory.

- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

- Carry or lift heavy objects and to squat, kneel, bend, or crawl in awkward positions.
- Work late or overnight shifts, if needed.
