Business Systems Analyst

Description:

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving reporting and analytics within the NetSuite ERP platform and related business systems. This role partners with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to translate business needs into accurate, actionable reports and dashboards that support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

*This position is on-site in Portage, MI.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reports, saved searches, dashboards, and KPIs within NetSuite ERP.
• Support reporting needs across Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across NetSuite and related systems.
• Support the Business Systems Administrator with NetSuite enhancements, configurations, and reporting-related initiatives.
• Develop and maintain management reporting using current tools and methodologies.
• Identify opportunities to improve data visibility, reporting efficiency, and system usage.
• Troubleshoot reporting, data, and basic system issues within NetSuite and integrated systems.
• Develop and deliver training for end users on NetSuite reporting tools and dashboards.
• Manage multiple reporting requests and priorities effectively.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related non-technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with ERP systems; NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
• Proficiency with reporting tools, dashboards, and business analytics concepts.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SuiteScript and/or JavaScript for NetSuite customization and automation.
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data across systems.
• Experience with API integrations, including data extraction and system-to-system connectivity.
• Familiarity with NetSuite Saved Searches, SuiteAnalytics, and dashboards.
• Understanding of ERP data structures related to finance, supply chain, pricing, or operations.
