Med / Surg RN Job Details

Location : Marianna, FL 32446 (Northwest Florida healthcare jobs)

Facility Setting : Acute care hospital – Med / Surg / Telemetry unit

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract

Shift : 12-hour nights (7pm – 7am)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 25 / 2025 – End : 2 / 24 / 2026)

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend (Saturday / Sunday)

Unit Size : 25-28 beds

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : 1 : 6 (maximum 1 : 7)

Orientation : 1 day general orientation plus 1 shift unit-specific orientation

Parking : Free staff parking near Emergency Room

Cafeteria : Open daily with excellent food options (Morrison's managed)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1260–$1350 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Florida or compact state)

BLS certification (required)

ACLS certification (preferred)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg RN experience in an acute care setting

Previous travel nursing experience preferred (at least 15-18 months total RN experience)

Ability to float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) based on skill set

Strong clinical communication and teamwork skills

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on the Med / Surg / Telemetry unit

Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes to physicians and healthcare team

Administer medications and treatments using Omnicell dispensing system

Operate Baxter Sigma IV pumps and Nihon Kohden cardiac monitors

Document patient care in CPSI - Evident Thrive EMR system

Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other clinical staff

Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and routine assessments

Float to PCU as needed, within scope of experience

Work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation as required
