As an inside sales rep, at our Huntington Station Headquarters , you will have your own territory and work as a team with your partner field sales rep. Teq provides training that enables you to ‘own’ your business and become the go-to expert that schools want as a consultant. As a sales rep , you will have a pipeline that includes pre-existing customers, but the majority of your time will be spent generating new opportunities. We believe in being honest and transparent with customers. At Teq, you can be confident that the products you sell are top tier.

What you’ll do
In the first week...
Learn Teq’s product and service offerings; practice sales techniquesLearn systems including our CRM, automated phone system, etc.Meet with different Teq departments and other sales reps to understand customer interactions and how to leverage Teq resourcesIn the first month...
Create presentations of products and services, outline your daily tasks, develop personal goalsObserve Teams meetings and sales calls to see how our solutions are pitched, what needs and challenges our customers have, and the Teq value propositionBecome familiar with funding sources for schoolsLearn to accurately log / update progress and collaborate on strategic territory plansBegin working on quotes for fellow sales reps and get feedback on how to create efficient quotesSecond month and beyond...
Get to know your territory; perfect talking points and sales strategiesMeet and exceed targets to earn high commissionsContinue cultivating and nurturing relationships to manage pipeline and grow revenueCommunicate daily with clients via phone, email, and video chatConduct web demos and schedule site visits for your outside sales teammateIdentify new opportunities for revenue and expand influenceLeverage supporting departments to identify additional product / service needsParticipate in on-going educational and training opportunitiesOccasionally represent the company at trade shows, on-site demos, etc.What you’ll bring to the table
3-5 years of inside sales experience; self-motivated and drivenStrong communication skills; ability to build and maintain relationshipsExcellent organization and time-management skills with ability to prioritizeBe highly collaborative, reliable, and a team playerA robust work ethic with a sense of accountabilityBe coachable, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environmentAn open mind, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for learningCompensation and perks
