Environmental Services Technician
Environmental Services Technician performs general cleaning services for the Health System, assists in training other departmental employees, and practices excellent customer service skills.
2 : 00pm - 10 : 00pm with weekend and holiday rotation.
Pay based on experience starting at $16.14.
Responsibilities include :
- Collects and transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
- Dust mops and wet mops tiled floors.
- Machine scrubs and power buffs floors as assigned.
- Follows all infection prevention and control practices, including Standard Precautions, Transmission-Based Precautions, and hand hygiene.
- Maintains assigned equipment in clean, operable condition, assists with preventative maintenance and reports repair needs to supervisor immediately.
- Mixes, uses and disposes of chemicals according to directions.
- Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner.
- Polishes furniture, doors, chrome, stainless steel, etc.
- Replenishes supplies.
- Terminally cleans isolation rooms, surgical rooms and patient rooms as needed.
