Assistant Law Librarian - Pro Se Coordinator Job Description Collin County is seeking an exceptional candidate for an Assistant Law Librarian Pro Se Coordinator. An Assistant Law Librarian Pro Se Coordinator is responsible for, but not limited to, serving as a reference librarian by directing self-represented patrons to information and providing assistance with the use of library resources in person, by phone, and via email to help with case management.
Primary Functions Providing information and guidance by explaining court procedures, filing requirements, and local rules for self-represented individuals.
Assisting with administrative and library duties by maintaining forms and files, preparing correspondence.
Serving as a reference librarian by directing pro se patrons to information.
Assisting as back up to the law library’s needs (back up to other Assistant Law Librarians).

Providing guidance to self-represented (pro-se) litigants to navigate court processes and forms for their civil or family law cases.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates must possess the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes.
A broad knowledge of legal resources and reference services, normally acquired through four (4) years of college resulting in a Bachelor’s degree.
Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
One (1) year experience using both traditional and electronic legal resources and databases are preferred.
