Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,918 per week in Oak Lawn, IL

License : Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications : BLS, CVOR RN, CST, Hybrid IR Tech Must-Have : Critical care experience preferred. Description : This position is for a nursing administration role. Candidates will work in a surgical environment. The facility is a level 1 trauma center. The surgical unit has 28 beds with hybrid rooms for cardiovascular and vascular cases. On average, there are 60-75 cases per day. The patient population includes both outpatient and inpatient cases. Types of cases involve trauma, transplants, general surgery, gynecology, urology, robotic procedures, vascular, orthopedic, neurological, and open heart surgeries. Experience in trauma cases is essential. The unit provides care for adult patients only, with limited pediatric cases. Patient ratios are 1 : 1. Required certifications include BLS for all applicants. Additional certifications vary based on the role; RNs must be able to scrub and circulate during procedures. Familiarity with electronic health records is required. The role requires participation in various surgical cases, including hybrid cases. Support on the unit includes charge nurses and resource nurses. The scheduling will include weekend rotations every 4th weekend. Shifts are varied and include early morning, afternoon, and night shifts. The operating room is open 24 / 7 for urgent and trauma cases. Holiday coverage and on-call responsibilities are required. Team members will have a sleeping room available when on-call. All requests for time off must be formally documented.
