EXPERIENCE DESIRED :

High school / college participation

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Eye-hand mind-eye coordination physical

dexterity the ability to bend stoop walk talk

and sit. The ability to travel between locations.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

College course work in the Prevention and Care of

Athletic Injuries. Knowledge of the sport.

Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES

• Issues equipment and supervise the students care of it; check in and inventory equipment at the end of the season.
• Supervises physical examinations and be certain that every athlete returns the necessary form signed by the doctor and parent.
• Promotes a style of play consistent with the scope and sequence of the total program.
• Prepares a daily practice schedule and make continued efforts to improve coaching techniques.
• Dresses appropriately for coaching duties at practice and game time.
• Adheres to policies and procedures established by the Sioux Falls School District.
• Administers first aid to an injured player and take appropriate action such as notifying the family doctor the parent athletic director and building principal.
• Communicates between officials and coaches in professional manner.
• Attends rules meetings and is familiar with the rules of the game.
• Attends coaches meeting as deemed necessary by Coordinator of Athletics.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
