About The Position
Job Title : Cardiac Sonographer
Profession : Radiology / Cardiology
Specialty : Echo Tech
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Day
Hours per Shift : 8 hours (07 : 00 - 15 : 30)
Experience : Minimum of 2 years experience in an Ultrasound field required.
License : Preferred license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Certifications : BLS Required, ARDMS certification required, CCI RCS Required.
Must-Have :
Registered Ultrasound Tech preferred.
Background in a related healthcare field (Cardiopulmonary or Ultrasound preferred).
EPIC experience preferred.
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius.
Scrub top and bottom can be solid or have a design as long as it is appropriate.
Description :
Work schedule consists of 4x8-hour shifts from Tuesday to Friday, 07 : 00 - 15 : 30 or 07 : 30 - 16 : 00.
One weekend shift per month may be required if a team member needs time off.
No call obligations.
The role involves performing echocardiograms, carotid doppler studies, and / or transesophageal echos.
The position requires the provision of quality diagnostic and therapeutic care to meet high standards tailored to the patient's age.
Age-specific care includes newborns, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
This position is a replacement and candidates will be reviewed and interviewed accordingly.
Travel requirements include floating to like acuities or less if needed.
Special procedures involve ECHO's, carotids, and TEE's.
Candidates must have skills in 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, and other imaging techniques.
Additional required skills include working with imaging equipment and knowledge of various software systems.
Interdisciplinary support includes various healthcare teams to assist in patient care.
Daily census will involve a specific number of studies outlined for the shift.
Certifications and specific skills will be necessary to ensure compliance and quality of care.
