The City of Summit is seeking a full-time Assistant City Engineer. The responsibilities include but are not limited to development, design, construction, and execution of engineering / public works projects, from concept and specifications to inspections and project closeout.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for City infrastructure repair / replacement;
• Drawing and drafting;
• Quality plan conformance;
• Site plan and survey reviews;
• Public bid tabulations;
• Filing;
• Complex engineering computations;
• Plan copies;
• Permit processing;
• Conducting traffic studies / counts;
• Heavy communications with regulatory agencies, utilities, contractors, and public;
• Represents City as needed at public and Council meetings.
