General Manager

Location : Southeastern Wisconsin

Our client, a leading provider of heavy civil and landscape construction services, is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager (GM) to lead and grow their landscape construction and maintenance operations.

This is an opportunity to join a respected, growth-oriented organization known for integrity, innovation, and performance. The GM will play a pivotal role in strategic planning, business development, operational excellence, and team leadership , driving the division forward while fostering a collaborative, safety-first culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across construction and maintenance divisions
  • Drive efficiency, revenue growth, and profitability while ensuring top-tier quality and safety standards
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 50+ employees
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance
  • Build strong client relationships and support market expansion initiatives
  • Champion innovation, process improvement, and scalable systems

Ideal Candidate

  • 7–10 years of progressive leadership in landscape construction and maintenance, with at least 5 years in a senior management role
  • Proven experience managing large-scale operations ($10M–$30M+ revenue)
  • Strong financial and operational acumen with a track record of driving growth
  • Excellent communicator and relationship-builder with strategic vision
  • High integrity, collaborative leadership style, and a passion for operational excellence
