Role focus
The ideal candidate will be an experienced construction professional with a strong background in writing scopes of work and developing Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The role requires a strategic thinker who can act as a trusted advisor to clients and guide them through construction project challenges to ensure successful outcomes.
Scope of work and RFP development
- Draft comprehensive scopes of work for various construction projects, ensuring all aspects are covered and aligned with client goals.
- Develop detailed and accurate RFPs to solicit bids from qualified contractors and vendors, providing strategic guidance on vendor selection and contract negotiation.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the scope and RFPs meet project requirements and standards, advising on best practices and innovative solutions.
- Review and analyze bids, negotiate contracts, and manage contractor performance, acting as an advocate for client interests.
Construction Project Administration
Oversee day-to-day construction operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.Manage construction documentation, including submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, and daily logs.Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with plans and specifications.Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, providing timely and effective solutions.Ensure proper documentation and communication of project changes, maintaining accurate records throughout the project lifecycle.Account Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, fostering long-term relationships based on trust and mutual respect.Understand client needs and objectives, ensuring projects align with their business goals and expectations.Provide regular updates and reports to clients, maintaining transparency and open communication throughout the project lifecycle.Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts, providing consultative advice on additional projects or improvements.Quality Assurance and Compliance
Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.Implement and maintain quality control programs to ensure construction standards are met, advising clients on compliance and quality assurance strategies.Communication and Coordination
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and consultative relationship.Facilitate effective communication between all parties involved in the project, providing regular updates and strategic advice.Conduct regular project meetings to provide updates, address issues, and offer consultative guidance on project direction.Risk Management
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies, providing clients with expert advice on risk management.Monitor project progress and address any issues that may impact timelines or quality, offering proactive solutions.Plus other work-related tasks as needed.Seniority level
