Job descriptionBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's in Tax a plus). CPA license (preferred or in progress). 4+ years of public accounting experience with a strong tax background. Excellent technical tax preparation and review skills across multiple return types. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication skills and ability to lead in a fast-paced, client-first environment. $110,000 - $135,000 annual salary (based on experience). Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, retirement plan). Paid time off, holidays, and continuing education opportunities. Overview
We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our growing public accounting firm in Waltham, MA. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role where you'll manage complex tax engagements, mentor junior staff, and build strong client relationships. Responsibilities
- Prepare and review a variety of federal and state tax returns, including 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990, 1040, and 1041.
- Review staff work and provide actionable feedback to support development and technical growth.
- Research and resolve complex tax issues with confidence and accuracy.
- Oversee multiple client engagements simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information, address concerns, and provide expert guidance.
- Stay current on tax laws and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance across all work.
