Description :

Unit has 36 beds with 32 staff members.

Day shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 6 nursing staff (RN / LPN mix), 3 techs, and 1 secretary.

Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 6 nursing staff (RN / LPN mix), and 3 techs.

Patient-to-nurse ratio is 6 to 1.

The unit is equipped with EKG machines, DynaMaps, bladder scanners, vein finders, and telemetry equipment.

EMR system used is Meditech.

The typical hiring profile seeks candidates with strong time management and critical thinking skills.

Typical procedures performed include heart catheterizations.

The best personality fit is someone with a positive attitude, who is friendly and helpful.

Staff is required to float to all Med Surg Tele floors.

Dress code consists of ceil blue scrubs.

Every other weekend or two full weekends per month are required for scheduling.

This position is a contractor replacement.
